Inside a private house the large rooms of the basement were transformed in a gorgeous and welcoming spa with entirely customized finishes and details.
The sharp-cornered and initially less refined structures, typical of the backrooms, were completely hidden by double plasterboard walls with smooth fluid lines that isolate pillars and technical rooms and welcome the main services.
At the entrance, hidden by a sliding door, a wide wardrobe is placed; on the front wall, behind a grey smoked glass door, an outstanding bathroom with customized shower made of transparent crystal, moulded on a washbasin countertop, entirely covered by travertine like all the flooring.
The bathroom fixtures are made of Ceramica Cielo’s opaque ceramic, whereas the bath basket under the countertop of the washbasin and the frame of the wall mirror were handcrafted and made of durmast oak with tobacco shades.
On the back of the main wall, an opaque leather-coloured resin upholstery is visible in order not to contrast with the natural materials that were used.
In front of the bathroom a comfortable design sauna with a glass door was inserted with a chromo therapy and internal sound diffusion.
The wide living area consists of a design kitchen-bar, made of local artisans, with an entirely shiny steel countertop with welded washbasin, the base is made of tobacco-coloured durmast oak with a „saw cut“ finish and ivory-lacquered countertop and storage column elements.
At the end of this space another counter-wall with recesses welcomes a round bed sofa, handmade by artisans and for which upholsteries and pillows were chosen, perfectly matching with the rest of the finishes. The large wall mirror makes this space brighter and creates an interesting mirror effect.
In the centre of the main room, a led RGB strip, hidden in the counter ceiling creates light coloured effects that can be controlled to realize different scenarios.
The space, initially very cold and impersonal, was cared in every single detail, from the lacquered curved built- in recessed furnitures, to exploit and optimise every space, to the choice of the colours and of the surfaces that enhance, together with a smart led light effect, the curves and the ceilings.
